I have acquired an extensive collection of recorders and players over my career that enable me to recover and enhance historical recordings. I have recovered material from old tape recordings sent home from europe by world war ii veterans. I recaptured my father"s dental lecture from 1950. I have transferred music recorded by 60"s and 70"s era bands in basements and studios, recitals of childhood performances. I can playback nearly anything that was captured on ¼" tape in any format or speed.  Svs&m can retrieve audio from cassettes and even video from vhs or beta tapes and transfer to cd or dvd.
